Bat Craft:
step-by-step🎨

Step 1

Carefully cut the bottom off your black paper cup. This is where the confetti will burst out later.

Step 2

Take a deep breath and give the balloon a little puff. Then let the air out again and tie a knot at the end.

Step 3

Chop off the top third of the balloon. This will be your magical launcher that sends the confetti flying!

Step 4

Gently stretch the balloon over the open end of the cup. It’ll look like a tiny tail poking out.

Step 5

Wrap tape or washi tape around the balloon edge to hold it in place. Keep it snug. Your confetti-popping Bat Craft needs a strong base.

Step 6

Time to fancy it up! Cut a slim strip of black paper and glue it around the cup using your Pritt Glue Stick. Stick the strip around the base like a mini collar. This bat is dressing up for Halloween!

Step 7

Use the template to trace flappy wings, pointy ears, and cute little teeth! Colour-code your paper: black for wings, pink for ears, white for the snappy little fangs. This part makes your Bat Craft project super cute.

Step 9

Time to give your bat a cute little face! Stick on the eyes, teeth, and ears. The more expressive, the better.

Nearly finished! Fill the inside of your Bat Craft with a generous handful of colourful confetti until it’s nicely packed.

Tip:
You can also turn this into a Bat Craft toilet roll version. Just use a loo roll instead of a paper cup. It’s just as fun.
