Paper Easter Basket:
Step-by-Step🎨

Step 1

Every proper Easter basket needs a cosy nest of grass! Take a sheet of green crêpe paper and cut a strip approximately half the height of your paper cup. Carefully snip along one edge to create a grass-like fringe. Tip: Want a truly lush meadow effect? Layer two different shades of green for a more natural look.

Step 2

Apply Pritt Glue Stick around the bottom edge of your paper cup, then wrap the fringed strip around it, and press firmly to secure. This makes the perfect base for your Easter basket.

Step 3

Now use your imagination! Cut out spring shapes from colourful paper – try Easter eggs, flowers, or circles in different sizes. Don’t worry about perfection! Simple shapes in different varieties and colours give your basket Easter craft a unique look.
Tip:
Leaves and stems can add a nice touch too.

Step 4

Using the Pritt Glue Stick, attach your cut-out designs around the cup. Arrange them however you like. For vibrant accents, try the Pritt Colour Stick.
Tip:
Overlapping the different elements creates a lovely multi-layer effect.

Step 5

Use your hole punch to make two holes opposite each other near the upper rim of your cup. This is where you will attach the handle for your homemade Easter basket.

Step 6

Thread a pipe cleaner through one hole and twist it tightly at that end to secure it. Leave the other side untwisted, as it will be needed for the next step.

Step 7

For extra decoration, thread a few colourful wooden beads onto the stem. Try creating patterns with different colours and sizes. This adds both decoration and strength to your paper Easter basket handle.

Step 8

Finally, pull the other end of the pipe cleaner through the second hole and twist to secure it as well. Nice job! Your Easter nest craft is ready to be filled with chocolate eggs, flowers or toys.
Tip:
Adjust the handle height to your liking – lower for a decorative Easter basket or higher for a carrying one.
