assuming knowledge of emotions and feelings in relation to others.

  • Work on family environment making a hat with a picture of our families.

Methodology

Materials:

Family Photography, scissors, Pritt Stick, cards, pencil, thin elastic.

55 minutes

Extention Activity

To extend the activity we can continue working on family; each student should put on the hat and be given 3 or 4 minutes to explain to the other students how many people are in their family, what they do and how they feel when they are with them. It can stimulate emotions through images, body language or adjectives.

Step 1

To start get the family photograph and cut out all the faces.

Step 2

Lay the cardboard horizontally.

Step 3

Now glue the faces of your family roughly halfway up the cardboard.

Step 4

Once the faces have been glued, we need to make the body. To make clothes use different coloured card and then stick below the faces. We can also make our pets or different elements.

Step 5

When it is all finished, make a triangular shaped hat.

Step 6

Finally put elastic string on either side and there you have your customized hat.
